What is, and How to Use the Movement Lesson™ Laser, Movement Lesson™ Midline Points and Midline Evaluation Protocols
The greatest indicator that a person is lacking rotation in their system, is a lack of midline crossing in their system. Now a person could have midline crossing in their arms, but not in their legs. The evaluation protocols are to help you evaluate where your child's system is processing movement right now. Any part of the body that lacks midline crossing, you will want to work on first. Once you have this baseline you can track your child's progress week by week.

In the third week of the course we go over promoting spine health and how to work to create functional movement within the spine. A healthy spine means the hips and shoulders can counter through the spine. Your child's spine should be able to move in all directions. If not, often you will see restrictions in your child's ability to move their head, arms, legs, and chest.

Yes, the laser is safe to use. The Movement Lesson™ laser is a class 3 cold laser with three power modes and is 100% safe to use. The course comes with:
- Videos showing you how to and how not to use the laser
- Safety glasses, and safety guidelines
- A book that explains how the laser works and stimulates the body
If you are at all concerned about using the laser with your child, consult with your doctor. While going through the course, when in doubt don’t use the laser until you have consulted with your doctor. All the techniques shown in this course can be done without the laser and will still produce amazing results for you.
Whether or not your child has a diagnosis, you can make use of this course. After going to any and all therapies with my son, I noticed one common denominator between my son and all other special needs persons. Every special needs person lacks rotational movements in their system. So is the case with your child. Yes, children become special needs due to trauma or genetics, these children still lack rotational movements. A child can become special needs due to a lack of rotational movements, therefore, I have provided the tools you need in this course to assess the movement needs of your child and to start an at-home program to care for your child in between doctor appointments and other therapy techniques you might be doing.
Other therapies focus on influencing the brain to create changes in movement. They are evaluating movements based on an end result of what should be happening in the system and, at times, forcing children in certain positions and expecting the brain to make connections. I focus on creating movement in the body to create changes in the brain. I evaluate the system mechanics behind the movements that are currently being made and why they are functioning the way they currently are. Then I work on changing the body and teaching it how to feel safe when moving in and out of milestone movements.
Your child can be sleeping or playing while you apply the techniques you learn in this course. If you want to get the technique down first before trying on a moving child, practice on an adult.
Often parents get frustrated with trying to work on their child while he or she is asleep. The reality is, I went through the same thing with my son. I kept at it until I could work on him and he wouldn't wake up. You will know you are making progress with your touch when you can work on your child while he or she is asleep.
