Essentials for Successful Crawling

The act of true crawling is created from internal mechanisms of core movements. No child presents into all fours. They will transition in and out of a position that might include 'all fours' but they will not present in all fours as a static position. To work with aspects of crawling, your child needs the following:

1- They MUST be able to create a transitional milestone through weight transfer. What does that mean? They need to transition from one position to the other  through weight transfer. The most missed transitional milestone is rolling over. Including from belly to back, back to belly, through the right and through the left. Then transitioning into asymmetrical feet grabbing and coming to sitting from their back.

2- They must be able to create milestones through the use of opposing forces. The simplest act is transferring an item from one hand to the next. Being able to use counter movements, like grabbing your hands and face to rolling over are some key movements.

3- They can counter through their pelvis so they can cross midline, respond to stimuli or an objects using rotational movements, and transfer movements in both directions to be able to create any vertical milestone.

When your child has issues in any of these three key areas of movement organization, they will be unable to crawl.

Did Your Child Skip Crawling?

Movement Lesson teaches the importance of EVERY milestone for Milestone Momentum.

Skipped crawling is a BIG Movement Deviation.

When Do Babies Start Crawling? When Do Babies Crawl

Babies should start crawling at about 8 months to be on track for Milestone Momentum (CLICK HERE to get the Baby Milestone Momentum Charts).

This boy couldn't crawl because of his Cerebral Palsy (there are many other reasons why a child skips crawling).

We want his feet and toes to get the sensation of what it would feel like as if he had crawled.

Why? To put his development back on a path of progress and Milestone Momentum.

No matter your child's age, you can teach their system that missed milestone and completely change to the projection of your child's developmental delays for the better.

If you are frustrated because your child is having sensory issues, attention issues, and overall lack of progress in social, emotional, cognitive, vision, and movement development.

Your child skipping crawling was and is a big warning sign of developmental dysfunction.

Movement Lesson™ is NOT therapy or an alternative to it.

It's a new way to approach child development using movement sciences to create milestone momentum in the body using movement acceleration techniques.

It offers newborns, children, and adults new opportunities for movement by giving the body core movement foundation vs. core strength, as you see in therapeutic techniques.

Teach your baby, child, or loved one functional movement with Movement Lesson.
